Primer was scaling faster than its website. Every update went through developers, so campaigns waited, messaging tests stalled, and even small content changes queued behind engineering work that mattered more.
For a payments platform selling to enterprises, that lag shows. The product was moving into new markets and new stories, and the site could not keep pace with the company it represented.
One decision drove the rest: give marketing full ownership of the site. We designed and rebuilt primer.io in Webflow and migrated the CMS, so the team publishes, tests, and launches pages without touching engineering.
The second call was about the product itself. Payments infrastructure is invisible, so instead of static screenshots we designed how Primer's product appears on the site: in motion, walking a visitor through what the platform does in seconds.

Primer's product is APIs and payment flows, nothing you can photograph. We designed animated product presentations that show checkout, routing, and payment logic working on the page, so a payments buyer sees what Primer does instead of reading claims about it.
Two years on, the site still runs the way we left it: marketing publishes independently and traffic keeps compounding through search and direct, not ad spend. In May 2026 Primer announced its $100M Series C, and the site was ready for the attention that came with it.
