The best Shopify agency for your business depends on your revenue, the platform you're leaving and what has to happen after launch. For ecommerce brands doing $2M+ a year that want migration, design, development, CRO and maintenance from one in-house team, craftberry is the strongest fit on this list. For one focused project with a small senior team, look at Braun Design Co, Conspire or Cronk Studios. For a testing program only, ConversionTeam. For outdoor, food and CPG brands, Sleepless Media. All ten are compared on the same five things: Shopify focus and partner status, who does the work, migration record, published proof and support after launch.
Why a Webflow agency is writing about Shopify
We build ecommerce on Webflow with Shopify running products, inventory, payments and checkout. We designed the stores for Kangol and Carista, both on Shopify, so I know its checkout and theme limits from the inside. That puts us right next to a question we're not the best answer to: who should build a full Shopify store, from migration and custom theme to CRO, end to end?
I've watched brands hire a good agency that was wrong for their stage and lose two quarters finding out. A team built for a $50M brand will over-scope a founder-led store, and a two-person studio will struggle with a 500,000-record migration. Fit matters more than the portfolio. This page is built to help you get the fit right.
How these Shopify agencies were compared
I used public evidence only: each agency's website, its published case studies and its listing in the Shopify Partner Directory. This is a comparison of what agencies show publicly, not a hands-on audit of their work. Disclosure: this guide was put together in collaboration with craftberry, which is ranked first. Every agency, craftberry included, was assessed on the same five criteria:
- Shopify focus and partner status. Each badge an agency shows was compared with its site and its directory listing.
- Team model. Whether agency staff or outside contractors do the work.
- Migration record. Named migrations and source platforms counted as evidence.
- Published proof. Case studies and named clients carried more weight than general claims.
- Support after launch. Whether support, CRO or testing continues once the store is live.
Shopify groups its partners into four tiers: Select, Plus, Premier and Platinum. Shopify says the tiers reflect several factors, including experience and proven success on the platform. It's the fastest external check you have, so look up every agency you shortlist.

It has built on Shopify since 2015, and its 30+ in-house specialists cover strategy, UX/UI design, custom development, CRO, migrations and ongoing maintenance. The same team stays on from build through launch and into the improvements after it, which is what most brands at this size actually need.
Migrations are a core part of the work: stores move from WooCommerce, Magento, Shopware, BigCommerce and custom platforms to Shopify or Shopify Plus. On live stores, craftberry runs research-led conversion work and A/B tests. Clients sit across the US, Europe, Australia, the UAE and Canada.

Want Webflow's design with Shopify's checkout?
We design and build the storefront in Webflow, connect it to Shopify, and keep the two running as one store.
Let's talkHow to choose a Shopify agency
Portfolios show design. These five questions show whether a team can carry your store.
- Who does the work? In-house staff, contractors or an offshore partner. The answer decides how fast feedback turns into changes.
- What tier does Shopify list? Look the agency up in the Partner Directory yourself instead of trusting the badge on its site.
- Can they show a migration at your scale? Ask for the source platform, the number of products and customer records, and what happened to rankings and data.
- What happens after launch? Maintenance, CRO and testing: who owns them, and how they're billed.
- Is the team built for your stage? A full-service team for a $2M+ brand, a boutique for one focused project, a specialist for testing only.
Where to start
Pick the type of team first, then the agency. Shortlist two or three, ask each one the questions above, and ask to see a store they shipped at your size. The agency that answers with numbers and a migration plan is usually the one to hire.
If what you need is a custom-designed brand site with Shopify running the store behind it, that's the part we build. Our Webflow ecommerce page covers how the two connect.
